| Krikorian
Premiere Theatres believes that we are only as strong as
the communities that we serve. Krikorian provides the absolute
best possible movie-going experience and combines that with
our community outreach programs. Krikorian Theatres has
an extensive history of contributing and adding value to
the communities where we do business and supporting significant
programs that invest in education and children.
In-Kind
Donations
The Krikorian Theatres’ In-Kind Donation Program is
intended to assist the non-profit and education sector.
The program's main goal is to encourage donations to charitable
organizations and to thank volunteers. Donations may be
requested every six months per organization or school.
Krikorian
Theatres contributes only to those qualified organizations
or non-profit groups with tax-exempt status, as described
in section 501(c)(3) of Internal Revenue Service Publication
557 (for more information, go to http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p557.pdf)
and public K-12 schools registered with the National Center
for Education Statistics.
If
your organization meets these criteria, and you would like
to submit a request to Krikorian Theatres for consideration,
you must submit your request on the benefiting organization's
letterhead and include the following information:
- Reason
for request, such as fundraiser or incentive.
- Specific
donation you are requesting
- Date
of the project or event
- Date
the donation is needed
- Your
name, phone number, and mailing address
- A
copy of the benefiting organization’s 501(c)(3)
determination letter* issued by the Internal Revenue Service
and Department of the Treasury. If you fail to include
this document, your request will not be considered –
even if we’ve donated to your organization before.
- The
benefiting organization’s Employer or Federal Tax
Identification Number.
Monetary
Donations
The Krikorian Theatres’ Monetary Donation Program
is intended to assist the non-profit and education sector
by sponsoring events and / or placing ads in tribute or
thank you journals. Donations may be requested once per
year per organization or school.
Requests
are filed and processed according to the deadline or event
date (whichever is earlier). Our committee requires a minimum
of 60 days from the event date or deadline to process qualifying
requests. Due to the large volume of requests received,
we may not be able to verify whether or not yours has been
received or processed until we get closer to your deadline.
IMPORTANT
SUBMISSION INFORMATION:
- Any
request submitted without all of the required information
will not be considered.
- If
you submit the sales and use tax exempt certificate issued
by your state instead of the 501(c)(3) determination letter
issued by the Internal Revenue Service and Department
of the Treasury, that does not meet Krikorian’s
criteria and your request will not be considered.
- Our
current pass policy limits our distribution per organization
to a maximum of 6 passes once every six months. Please
submit one request per event per six month period.
- Requests
are filed and processed according to the deadline or event
date (whichever is earlier). Our committee requires a
minimum of 30 days from the event date or deadline to
process qualifying requests for pass donations and 60
days for monetary donations. If the request is not received
within this time frame, it will not be considered. Due
to the large volume of requests received, we may not be
able to verify whether or not yours has been received
or processed.
- If
you did not include an event date, your request is filed
as low-priority and we will process it as soon as possible.
Qualifying requests are filed and processed according
to event date. If your event is next year, your request
will be processed then.
- We
do not make any approvals/declinations based only on a
phone call — all requests must be submitted in writing
(mail, fax, email). They will be reviewed and determinations
will be made accordingly. If your request has been approved,
you will be notified by mail with your donation enclosed.
If
your request has not been approved, you will not receive
notification.

*
The 501(c)(3) determination letter is a ruling issued to
you by the Department of the Treasury and IRS stating that
your organization meets the particular requirements of the
section under which it is claiming exemption. If you need
to obtain a copy of your organization's letter from the
IRS, you can call them toll free at 1-877-829-5500, and
they will mail it to you. The sales and use tax exempt certificate
issued by your state does not meet our criteria. If you
submit that, your request will not be considered.
